Creon 10000 capsules contain a mixture of the natural enzymes which are used to digest food.
Creon 10000 IU is a pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT). It is used to help people who cannot digest food properly because their pancreas does not produce enough digestive enzymes — a condition known as exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI).
What it’s used for:
Creon 10000 IU is commonly prescribed for conditions such as:
- Chronic pancreatitis
- Cystic fibrosis
- Pancreatic cancer
- After surgical removal of the pancreas (pancreatectomy)
- Other conditions that impair pancreatic enzyme production
What it contains:
Each capsule of Creon 10000 contains:
- Lipase (10,000 units) – breaks down fats
- Amylase – breaks down carbohydrates
- Protease – breaks down proteins
How it works:
These enzymes are released in the small intestine to help digest food and improve absorption of nutrients.
How to take it:
Usually taken with meals and snacks
Dosage varies depending on the condition, age, weight, and fat content of the meals
Capsules should be swallowed whole or opened and sprinkled on soft acidic food (like applesauce) — not chewed or crushed
