Alpro, PURAS Launch Pillow Mist To Tackle Sleep Crisis

Alpro Pharmacy and Malaysian wellness brand PURAS have launched the DeepSleep Pillow Mist, a science-backed solution designed to improve sleep quality among Malaysians. The initiative forms part of Alpro’s Mental Health Programme, which promotes better mental health and emotional wellbeing nationwide.

“Poor sleep is not just about feeling tired, it affects mood, concentration, immunity and even heart health,” said Pharmacist Lim En Ni, Chief Pharmacist and Engagement Director of Alpro Pharmacy.

Studies show that 54.7% of Malaysian adults sleep less than seven hours per night, while nearly 45% report poor sleep quality, averaging only 5.9 hours. Among university students, 70% experience insufficient or disturbed sleep. Chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to anxiety, fatigue, weakened immunity and reduced productivity.

The DeepSleep Pillow Mist combines essential oils and botanical extracts, including geranium, patchouli, orange and frankincense and is formulated with input from Alpro pharmacists and PURAS aromatherapists. It is designed to create a calming, restorative sleep environment suitable for adults, students, expectant mothers and children.
