Today, Alpro Pharmacy and Sandoz Malaysia officially formalised a strategic collaboration through a Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony to expand access to quality-assured biosimilar medicines for patients with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).
Through this collaboration, Sandoz biosimilars will be integrated into Alpro Pharmacy’s ONCOHelp Patient Navigation Programme, strengthening support for patients referred from government hospitals through improved access, continuity of care, and ongoing patient support beyond hospital settings.
By combining Sandoz’s expertise in biosimilars with Alpro Pharmacy’s nationwide community pharmacy network and patient support capabilities, this initiative aims to help make essential oncology and immunology treatments more accessible, affordable, and convenient for Malaysians who require long-term care and support.
The event also featured a healthcare roundtable discussion themed “Making Essential Immunology & Oncology Medicine Accessible, Affordable, and Convenient for All”, bringing together healthcare professionals and industry representatives, including Ph. Joelle Wong Pei San (Alpro OncoHelp Program Lead), Ms. Christine Chong (Country Head of Sandoz Malaysia, Brunei & Singapore), Dr. Wong Yih Seong (Hematologist, Hospital Sultanah Aminah) and Associate Professor Dr. Fariz bin Yahya (Rheumatologist, University Malaya Medical Centre) to discuss healthcare accessibility challenges in Malaysia and the role biosimilars can play in improving long term patient care.
