As pharmacists, we often see patients coming in to buy the same medications for chronic conditions, week after week. I remember a patient who repeatedly bought the same medication, unaware that he was accumulating more than he actually needed. The result? Expired medicine that was never used—and thrown away carelessly. 💊❌

Many of us don’t realize that improper disposal of unused or expired medications can harm not just our health, but the environment as well. 🌎💔

At Alpro, we believe that medication safety doesn’t end at the moment of dispensing. We are committed to ensuring safe medication use beyond the pharmacy counter. That’s why we’re taking action! 💪

📅 On February 17, 2025, Alpro Foundation officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Universiti Teknologi MARA, witnessed by Ministry Of Health, Malaysia (KKM), Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) and the Merck Healthcare Malaysia. Through this collaboration, we aim to reduce the impact of pharmaceutical waste, ensure Malaysia’s preparedness for proper disposal, educate the public and future pharmacists, and raise awareness to protect our waters and environment.
