Leading prescription pharmacy chain, Alpro Pharmacy, collaborates with  Panasonic Malaysia to deploy nanoe™X technology  air purification system across outlets.

In response to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and recognizing the heightened risk of viral infections in enclosed workplaces, Alpro Group has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Panasonic Malaysia. The strategic partnership aims to enhance air quality for patrons and employees by implementing Panasonic’s nanoe™X technology across all Alpro outlets and its headquarters.

Alpro prioritizes safety beyond conventional measures.

Acknowledging that safety extends beyond traditional practices such as masks and sanitizers, Alpro Group has redirected its focus toward improving indoor air quality (IAQ). This initiative aligns with the company’s latest tagline, “Reassurance that brings Smiles.” Chief Pharmacist Ph. Lim En Ni emphasized the importance of customer assurance, beginning from the moment patrons enter any Alpro outlet.

The goal is to provide a safe environment, including the air they breathe, fostering confidence in engaging with Alpro’s diverse team of professionals. Lim En Ni stated, “By providing them peace of mind when visiting Alpro outlets, they could freely engage with our team of professionals from doctors to pharmacists, to dietitians & nutritionists, to physio-therapists, to beauty advisors.”

The nanoe™X technology adopted by Alpro Pharmacy sets a new standard in air quality, offering a shield of safety and comfort by deodorizing spaces and suppressing pathogenic microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, viruses, molds, and allergens. This technology aims to create a safe, comfortable, and clean environment for patrons and employees.

Atsushi Yoshida, Country Head of Life Solutions at Panasonic Malaysia, highlighted the shared mission of Panasonic and Alpro Group, emphasizing their commitment to enriching lives and ensuring the safety of individuals. He stated, “Our unique technology and solutions not only keep buildings well-ventilated, cool, and clean but with efficient energy usage.”

The collaboration between Alpro Group and Panasonic aligns with Alpro’s dedication to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). This partnership reflects Alpro’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, particularly focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 15: Life on Land set forth by the United Nations. The joint effort aims to contribute to the well-being of society while prioritizing safety and sustainability.
