Alpro Pharmacy and MSD Malaysia unite to enhance cancer care with ONCOHelp, offering access to innovative treatments and support for patients

In a groundbreaking move to improve cancer awareness and accessibility to oncology treatment, Alpro Pharmacy, Malaysia’s largest prescription pharmacy chain, and Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD Malaysia), a subsidiary of global healthcare leader Merck & Co., Inc., have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The partnership aims to expand access to oncology medications, raise cancer awareness, and strengthen the availability of oncology treatments, culminating in the establishment of Alpro ONCOHelp, a dedicated one-stop center for cancer patients and their families.

Joelle Wong, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer of Alpro ONCOHelp, expressed the significance of this collaboration, saying, “Our collaboration with MSD Malaysia marks an achievement in our journey to enhance healthcare access and the quality of life for cancer patients through ONCOHelp. This program is a one-of-a-kind initiative designed to provide access to innovative oncology treatments and complimentary 365 days medical holistic support to cancer patients.”

A comprehensive approach to patient care

MSD Malaysia will provide invaluable insights into the cancer patient journey, contributing to the development of Alpro Pharmacy’s initiative. The ONCOHelp program, tailored to promote increased access to advanced cancer treatments, will benefit from MSD Malaysia’s expertise. This collaborative effort will broaden the scope of outreach, ensuring a more comprehensive and inclusive approach to patient care.
