Tips to boost your Kid’s Memory
Research shows that 50% of intelligence comes from genetics, while the other 50% comes from other factors, including the child’s environment. Parents play a key role in supporting the cognitive development of their children for the 50% that they can control it. Hence, it is important to provide your kids with the nutrients that are critical for improved cognition and academic performance.
Do you know that 90% of a child’s brain development happens before age 5 and 10% after age 5? It is incredible to watch your little ones grow up and take steps toward learning and discovering the world. If you are looking for a supplement for your kids’ memory, it is a good choice to try GKB Kids Star.
GKB Kids Star is a comprehensive and unique formula for kids’ brain development. It consists of 8 mighty ingredients.
1. Lion Mane Mushroom
Lion’s mane (Hericium Erinaceus) is native to North America, Europe, and Asia. It has a long history as TCM for improving cognition.
Research shows that the lion’s mane helps improve focus by stimulating the production of nerve growth factor (NGF). NGF is a neuropeptide that helps regulate the growth, maintenance, proliferation, and survival of neurons or nerve cells. These neurons are like messengers, sending and processing information from the brain to the rest of the body. This research also shows that it can help improve photographic and short-term memory.
2. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
DHA is an Omega-3 fatty acid, which is one of the unsaturated fats, or good fats, that our bodies require. It is a major structural fat found in the brain (97%) and eye (93%). DHA plays a tremendous role in the neurological development of infants and toddlers. Specifically, it aids the development of the brain and eyes and consequently enhances cognitive function and learning behaviour. In the brain, the build-up of DHA provides an essential building block for cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural development in children. A study published in the journal Clinical Epidemiology and Global Health showed that children with higher levels of DHA tend to exhibit higher cognitive, language, motor, and information-processing skills as they progress from infancy to young adulthood.
The DHA Oxford Learning and Behaviour (DOLAB) trial, published in the PLOS-One Journal, found that previously under-performing children aged 7 to 9 improved significantly in reading, memory, and behaviour after being placed on a healthy diet containing 600 mg of DHA per day.
3. Phosphatidylserine (PS)
Phosphatidylserine is a fatty substance known as a phospholipid that helps transmit messages between nerve cells in the brain. It plays an important role in keeping the mind and memory sharp. Phosphatidylserine encourages the release of four major neurotransmitters — serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, and acetylcholine. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that brain cells use to communicate with each other. In addition, phosphatidylserine helps with faster thinking by speeding up communication between brain cells. Several studies showed that people who took the supplement phosphatidylserine scored higher on short-term memory, mood, and concentration tests.
4. Lecithin
The major component of lecithin is Phosphatidylcholine (PC). Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a phospholipid attached to a choline particle. Phosphatidylcholine helps restore damaged brain cells by making them more fluid and permeable allowing the proper flow of chemical messengers and nutrients into and out of the cell. This action improves overall cell function and efficiency. Hence, resulting in better cognition, learning, memory, and mood.
5. L-lysine
L-lysine is an essential amino acid that is required to make protein. Lysine can help the body absorb calcium and is important for growth and development. Besides, lysine helps in the formation of collagen.
6. Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that cannot be stored within the body. Hence, it’s important to get enough vitamin C every day. One of vitamin C’s best-known functions is its role in supporting healthy immune system function and maintaining immune system health. Vitamin C may also reduce the duration of a common cold and relieve the severity of its symptoms. Besides, Vitamin C supports the absorption of dietary iron, supports healthy skin, etc.
7. Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is one of the most essential nutrients for kids, as it helps in growth, development, and overall well-being. Vitamin D3 helps in calcium absorption for kids’ bone growth, stronger teeth, and skeletal systems. Vitamin D3 acts in the body like a hormone, regulating cellular function and aiding in the development of immunity and disease resistance. Moreover, according to research published in 2006, vitamin D protects against influenza and respiratory viruses. Another recent study’s findings showed that vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 supplementation significantly reduced the risk of COVID-19 infection and death within 30 days.
8. Elderberry
Elderberry is good for boosting the immune system and reducing the effects and length of the common cold. It is also rich in antioxidants known as Anthocyanins, which fight against viral infection and disease. Besides, it can also improve brain health and memory.
